The Reverend Becke Drake

Becke graduated from Andover Newton Theological School in 2014 and was ordained in the ABCUSA in 2015. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Ministry at Berkeley School of Theology, with a focus on grief and loss, and end-of-life. She is a former Associate Pastor of the International Source of Light Church, a Haitian Community-based church, and The First Baptist Church in Woburn. Becke is bi-lingual and preaches in English and in French.

Becke comes with the experience of a multi-cultural background, having lived, studied, and worked in France for many years, and having travelled extensively. She comes with an extensive corporate background which includes international music marketing and healthcare finance. She currently works as the Financial Controller for an international non-profit educational organization.

As a writer, she is currently working on Book 2 and 3 of a collection of poetry on grief and loss, which shares her personal journey following the death of her husband. Her interest in grief and loss led Becke to form her consulting company, KokoroLife Consulting, LLC. Her current contract is within the music industry which finds her counseling and mentoring musicians in their struggles with drugs, alcohol, and intimate relationship issues.

As a musician, Becke has written and performed several of her works internationally, using Bible references to convey her contemporary perspectives on a plethora of social issues.

Becke’s interest in MBMM comes from her many years of personal experience working with and advocating for marginalized populations.
