Dalton Said

Dalton Said was born in Brazil on February 11, 1948, was ordained on January 10, 1970 and married to Herta Said on January 15, 1972. They have three children and six grandchildren. He studied theology in Brazil, Costa Rica, United States and Scotland, where he got his Ph.D. in Hebrew and Old Testament Studies. He worked with churches and theological education for many years in Brazil, Costa Rica and the United States. Currently he serves as the Pastor of the First Baptist Church of New Bedford and the Coordinator of the Protestant Chaplaincy at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, under the auspices of the Inter-Church Council of Greater New Bedford. He also serves as the TABCOM Liaison for the Brazilian Community and a member of the MBMM Board of Directors.
